An '80s Heartthrob Is Joining "Stranger Things" Season 3

The cast for Season 3 of "Stranger Things" is growing. Netflix

Want more '80s heartthrobs to join Stranger Things for Season Three? As you wish!

Cary Elwes, a.k.a. the love-struck hero Westley from The Princess Bride, will play Mayor Kline in the new season of the Netflix series. According to his official character description, Mayor Kline is "handsome, slick, and sleazy ... your classic 80s politician — more concerned with his own image than with the people of the small town he governs."

"There’s a new mayor in town," Elwes joked on Twitter while sharing the news with his followers.

He's not the only newcomer to the cast. Jake Busey (yes, son of Gary Busey) is playing Bruce. Bruce is "a journalist for the The Hawkins Post with questionable morals and a sick sense of humor."

Busey and Elwes may be new to the show, but they're not strangers to each other. "Cary has been a great friend since we shot "Twister" in 1995. This’ll be a hoot," Busey revealed.
