BINGE REPORT: Sitcoms Continue To Rule As “Baby” Makes Its Report Debut

When it comes to bingeing, it's "Friends" forever! NBC

Sitcoms prolong their reign as Friends takes the No. 1 spot for a third week in a row! Fans are devouring the show’s large catalogue of episodes with 2.88% of binge sessions after last week’s dramatic renewal of the show on Netflix. Thirty-minute comedies new and old are also delighting bingers with Brooklyn Nine-Nine (No. 5) and The Good Place (No. 9) maintaining solid placement as the holidays approach, while How I Met Your Mother continues to hang on at No. 10. Surprisingly, only one entry this week comes from streaming titan, Netflix. Italian original series, Baby, makes a compelling debut at No. 2 despite controversy over the show’s risqué topic. Meanwhile, power players from The CW, Riverdale (No. 3) and Arrow (No. 8) press on as they near their mid-season finales.

Will the sitcom trend continue with the latest season of Fuller House dropping this Friday, or will Netflix originals like Tidelands and Travelers break the mold? Next Tuesday will tell all!

DID YOU KNOW? Baby also made an appearance on our Shows on the Rise report this week. Coming in at No. 5, the series is definitely making an impression whether you’re bingeing it or slowly savoring. Are you watching?

*The weekly Binge Report ranks shows with the most binge sessions. A binge session is when four or more episodes of a show are watched and tracked in our TV Time app within a given day.
