This week saw the networks release their new offerings to advertisers in New York, as well as the gift of all the new content that will be available during the 2019-2020 season. Check out all the network trailers below and give a follow in the series links to your favorite upcoming series.
mixed-ish (ABC) - Tuesdays at 9 pm
A spinoff of black-ish, mixed-ish recounts Rainbow Johnson's experiences growing up in a mixed-race family in the ’80s and the constant dilemmas she and her family had to face over whether to assimilate or stay true to themselves.
Emergence (ABC) - Tuesdays at 10 pm
Originally developed by NBC, but picked up by ABC, Emergence centers around a sheriff (Allison Tolman - Good Girls, Fargo) who takes in a young child that she finds near the site of a mysterious accident who has no memory of what has happened. The investigation draws her into a conspiracy larger than she ever imagined, and the child’s identity is at the center of it all.
Stumptown (ABC) - Wednesdays at 10 pm
How I Met Your Mother's Cobie Smulders returns to TV with Stumptown as Dex Parios, a strong, assertive, and unapologetically sharp-witted Army veteran working as a P.I. in Portland, OR. With a complicated personal history and only herself to rely on, she solves other people’s messes with a blind eye toward her own.
Outmatched (FOX) - Midseason
Orange Is the New Black's Jason Biggs returns to TV with new comedy Outmatched, which follows a blue-collar couple in South Jersey trying to get by and raise four kids, three of whom just happen to be certified geniuses.
neXt (FOX) - Midseason
New thriller neXt follows a former tech CEO who joins a Homeland Cybersecurity Agent to stop the emergence of a rogue Artificial Intelligence. Mad Men's John Slattery stars.
Filthy Rich (FOX) - Midseason
Meet the Monreauxes, a mega-rich Southern family famed for creating a wildly successful Christian television network. On the cusp of launching a digital retail arm of the company, the family’s patriarch, Eugene, dies in a plane crash (or so we are led to believe), leaving Margaret, a now-“Oprah” to the religious and Southern communities, to take charge of the family business. Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City) and Gerald McRaney (This Is Us) star.
Deputy (FOX) - Midseason
Stephen Dorff (True Detective) stars in this gritty neo-Western, which follows career lawman Bill Hollister, who is very comfortable kicking down doors, but is utterly lost in a staff meeting. When the L.A. County Sheriff drops dead, Bill becomes acting sheriff of Los Angeles County, in charge of 10,000 sworn deputies policing a modern Wild West.
Bless the Harts (FOX) - Sundays at 8:30 pm
Another series in the FOX animation lineup arrives with Bless the Harts. The show follows a group of Southerners who are always broke as a joke and struggling for the American dream of status and wealth. What they don’t realize is that they’re already rich — in friends, family and laughter.
Prodigal Son (FOX) - Mondays at 9 pm
Malcolm Bright is a criminal psychologist who has a gift that gives him the ability to know how killers think, how their minds work. Why? Back in the ‘90s, his father was a notorious serial killer called “The Surgeon.” Bright uses his twisted genius to help the NYPD solve crimes and stop killers, all while dealing with a manipulative mother, annoyingly normal sister, a homicidal father still looking to bond with his prodigal son, and his own constantly evolving neuroses. The series stars Tom Payne (The Walking Dead), Michael Sheen (Good Omens), and Bellamy Young (Scandal).
Not Just Me (FOX) - Wednesdays at 9 pm
Based on an Australian series Sisters, an only child's life is turned upside down when her famous father reveals he used his own sperm to conceive upward of a hundred children, including two new sisters. Brittany Snow stars.
Evil (CBS) - Thursdays at 10 pm
From the creators of The Good Wife comes a new series for the eye starring Katja Herbers (Westworld) and Mike Colter (Marvel's Luke Cage). The psychological mystery examines the origins of evil and features a skeptical female forensic psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a carpenter to investigate and assess the Church’s backlog of supposed miracles, demonic possessions and unexplained phenomena.
Perfect Harmony (NBC)
Bradley Whitford and Pitch Perfect's, Anna Camp, star in the upcoming comedy about finding inspiration in the most unlikely places. In this single-cam series, a former Princeton music professor finds his way into a choir practice at a small-town church with a group of singers that need his help. Despite their differences, they're able to reinvent and rediscover a little happiness just when they all need it most.
Bluff City Law (NBC)
Bluff City Law follows the lawyers of an elite Memphis law firm. Jimmy Smits (Sons of Anarchy) stars as legendary lawyer Elijah Strait, who works alongside his brilliant daughter, Sydney Keller, on the most controversial landmark civil rights cases.
Sunnyside (NBC) - Thursdays at 9:30 pm
Michael Schur (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place) brings yet another comedy to NBC with Sunnyside. The thirty-minute series follows New York city councilman, Garrett Modi (Kal Penn), who finds his true calling by helping immigrants in search of the American Dream. The diverse cast includes: comedians Joel Kim Booster, Kiran Deol, and Moses Storm, and actors Poppy Liu, Tudor Petrut, Samba Schutte, and Diana Maria Ria ... Five of which are immigrants themselves.
Batwoman (The CW) - Sundays at 8 pm
First introduced in the crossover event last year and set in the Arrowverse, Kate Kane seeks justice for Gotham city as Batwoman.
Nancy Drew (The CW) - Wednesdays at 9 pm
18-year-old Nancy Drew (played by Kennedy McMann) thought she’d be leaving her hometown for college, but when a family tragedy strikes and holds her back another year, she finds herself embroiled in a ghostly murder investigation that uncover secrets that run deep in her hometown of Horseshoe Bay, Maine.
Katy Kenne (The CW) - Midseason
Four aspiring artists from the "Riverdale" universe try to make it on Broadway.
All Rise (CBS) - Mondays at 9 pm
The series follows the dedicated, chaotic, hopeful, and sometimes absurd lives of judges, prosecutors, and public defenders as they work with bailiffs, clerks and cops to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal system. The series stars CSI alum Marg Helgenberger.
Bob Hearts Abishola (CBS) - Mondays at 8:30 pm
Mike and Molly's Billy Gardell stars in this love story about a middle-aged compression sock businessman from Detroit who unexpectedly falls for his cardiac nurse, a Nigerian immigrant, while recovering from a heart attack and sets his sights on winning her over. Undaunted by Abishola’s lack of initial interest or the vast differences in their backgrounds, Bob is determined to win Abishola’s heart, in this comedic examination of immigrant life in America.
The Unicorn (CBS) - Thursdays at 8:30 pm
An all star cast comprised of Walton Goggins (Vice Principals), Rob Cordrry (Ballers), and Michaela Watkins (Casual) star in this comedy about a tight-knit group of best friends and family that help their friend Wade embrace his “new normal” in the wake of the loss of his wife.
Carol's Second Act (CBS) - Thursdays at 9:30 pm
A woman (Patricia Heaton) embarks on a unique second act after raising her children, getting divorced, and retiring from teaching: pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor. At age 50, Carol is a medical intern and must sink or swim with peers who are half her age. It’s her enthusiasm, perspective and yes, even her age, that may be exactly what will make her second act a great success.
Broke (CBS) - Midseason
NCIS star Pauley Perrette is back on the eye in Broke which follows a single suburban mother who's shocked when her estranged sister, Elizabeth (Natasha Leggero), her sister's outrageously wealthy, big-hearted husband, Javier, and Javier's fiercely loyal assistant/driver/friend land on her doorstep in need of a place to live after the couple's money dries up.
FBI: Most Wanted (CBS) - Midseason
From FBI and Law & Order creator Dick Wolf, comes FBI: Most Wanted. The show follows seasoned FBI agent Jess LaCroix (Julian McMahon) who oversees a highly skilled team, which functions as a mobile undercover unit that's always out in the field, pursuing those who are most desperate to elude justice.
Tommy (CBS) - Midseason
A former high-ranking NYC police officer becomes the first female LAPD Chief of Police and uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to navigate the social, political and national security issues that comes with law enforcement. Edie Falco (Law & Order: True Crime) stars.
