SHOWS ON THE RISE: “13 Reasons Why” Takes The Lead As Off-Season Shows Get A Revisit

"13 Reasons Why" goes straight to No. 1 following its Season 3 release. Netflix

It comes as no surprise that the hit teen drama, 13 Reasons Why, lands on top this week! Following Friday’s Season 3 release, the Netflix mystery receives the No. 1 position with a rise ratio of 96.4%. Netflix presses on with Russian series, Better Than Us, which climbs to No. 2 thanks in part to availability in worldwide Netflix markets, and the recent release of Season 2 of Mindhunter (No. 3) maintains placement in the top 3 for a second week in a row.

Meanwhile, TV fans continue to play catch-up before the busy fall season sets in. Network favorites such as How to Get Away with Murder (No. 4), The Simpsons (No. 7), and The Good Doctor (No. 10) make their way back into the top 10 during their respective breaks, and Netflix Spanish drama, Elite, rises to No. 6 -- two weeks before its Season 2 drop. Additionally, current series earn recognition with the Season 5 premiere of Peaky Blinders (No. 5) and AMC’s spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead (No. 8).

The end of the month brings two anticipated summer releases: Carnival Row on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Will both fantasy series land in the top 10? All will be revealed next Monday!

DID YOU KNOW? 13 Reasons Why may be hot right now, but when it comes to show characters, it’s Mindhunter that comes out on top! Based on fan votes in TV Time, Jonathan Groff’s “Holden Ford” currently resides in the No. 1 position while three 13RW actors come in at No. 2, No. 3, and No. 5, respectively.
