BINGE REPORT: Netflix Keeps Bingers Indoors This Summer

Season 3 of "13 Reasons Why" puts the series back on top. Netflix

It’s yet another huge week for Netflix as 7 out of 10 positions on our Binge Report belong to the streaming platform! The much-anticipated third season of 13 Reasons Why (No. 1) earns top billing this week with 7.68% of binge sessions while crime thriller series, Mindhunter (No. 2), continues to creep up our report; landing at the runner-up position. Meanwhile, former leader, Orange Is the New Black (No. 3), takes a hit but remains in the top 3 for another week.

Additionally, Netflix favorites such as Cable Girls (No. 6), Money Heist (No. 7), and Stranger Things (No. 8) maintain placement as we approach the end of August while beloved network series, How to Get Away with Murder (No. 9), has a resurgence prior to its sixth and final season.

It’s a good week for fantasy fans with the upcoming releases of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video’s Carnival Row. Which one will hit our report? Will both make it into the top 10? And who will they push out? Find out next Tuesday!

DID YOU KNOW? The second season of 13 Reasons Why earned the show six consecutive weeks at No. 1 on our Binge Report last summer. The series tied for most weeks at No. 1 in 2018 with another show in our top 10: Money Heist!

Methodology: *The weekly Binge Report ranks shows with the most binge sessions. A binge session is when four or more episodes of a show are watched and tracked in our TV Time app within a given day.

Note: The network displayed is the network where the show first aired (e.g. “Friends” on NBC).
