BINGE REPORT: “Elite” Re-enters At No. 1!

Season 2 of "Elite" wins big with bingers. Netflix

Spanish series, Elite, returns stronger than before! The teen drama makes its Binge Report comeback at No. 1 this week with 9.45% of binge sessions while other recent Netflix releases, 13 Reasons Why and Mindhunter take a hit -- falling to No. 2 and No. 4, respectively. Additionally, Lucifer continues to persevere several months following its Netflix debut, and the farewell season of Orange Is the New Black begins to fade, but lingers at No. 9.

Meanwhile, network favorites receive a boost as former report residents, Grey’s Anatomy (No. 5) and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (No. 10) climb back into the top 10 while sitcom staples, Friends (No. 3) and The Big Bang Theory (No. 7) maintain placement for yet another week.

With new miniseries, Unbelievable, on the way from Netflix and the debut of Amazon Prime Video’s, Undone also on the horizon, what will make the top 10 next week? Find out on September 17th!

DID YOU KNOW? Last year’s debut of Elite earned the series three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on our Binge Report, and as of February 2019, the drama was the fourth most-watched foreign language Netflix original. Will Elite be able to outdo itself with its second season? Only time will tell …

Methodology: *The weekly Binge Report ranks shows with the most binge sessions. A binge session is when four or more episodes of a show are watched and tracked in our TV Time app within a given day.

Note: The network displayed is the network where the show first aired (e.g. “Friends” on NBC).
