Our Binge Report receives a revamp this week as two Netflix releases ascend into the top 3! Spanish series, Cable Girls (No. 2), makes the climb from last week’s No. 9 position to a runner-up placement, however, it’s Orange Is the New Black that stays on top for a third week in a row. The Netflix dramedy keeps the No. 1 title with 3.30% of binge sessions and rounding out the top 3 is serial killer series, Mindhunter, which debuted its second season this past Friday, just in time for perfect weekend bingeing.
Meanwhile, former leaders, Money Heist and Stranger Things, are on the move, falling to No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, as network favorites -- Glee (No. 8), The 100 (No. 9), and The Big Bang Theory (No. 10) barely hang on as summer series flourish.
Will the third season of 13 Reasons Why bring the series back into the top 10? Find out on August 27th!
DID YOU KNOW? Mindhunter has returned after a two year hiatus! At the end of 2017, the series had close to 290K fans in TV Time. Today, the show’s fans have grown to nearly 605K, and should only continue to gain traction following the Season 2 release.
Methodology: *The weekly Binge Report ranks shows with the most binge sessions. A binge session is when four or more episodes of a show are watched and tracked in our TV Time app within a given day.
Note: The network displayed is the network where the show first aired (e.g. “Friends” on NBC).
