BINGE REPORT: “La Casa de Papel” Hits Critical Mass as “The Walking Dead” Stalks Its Prey

It's a six week reign for "La Casa de Papel." Netflix

After it’s sixth week at No. 1 on our Binge Report, La Casa de Papel is really starting to show its legs. The record holder is, of course, the globe’s most popular program Game of Thrones (which came in at No. 1 for 10 weeks straight) but the popular Spanish-language crime thriller is definitely displaying some impressive staying power. Grey’s Anatomy (No. 2) also showed just how dominate it is after staving off an ever encroaching new episode of The Walking Dead (No. 3). The zombie drama may have lost someone significant, but it continues to put up some impressive numbers.

The rest of the list shows few major changes, aside from viewer’s waning interest in Netflix content and an embrace of returning network series, but that trend won’t likely hold much water after the return of Marvel’s Jessica Jones on March 8th. Stay tuned for next week’s report to witness the power of the superhero who has been absent from TV screens for more than a year.
