BINGE REPORT: It’s A Netflix Takeover As “Marvel’s The Punisher” Jumps To No. 1

"Marvel's The Punisher" steals the No. 1 position this week. Netflix

When one Netflix original begins to fall, another comes out of the woodwork. Marvel’s The Punisher takes the No. 1 position this week, knocking hit British series, Sex Education to No. 2. As one of two surviving Marvel shows on the streaming platform, The Punisher rises to the occasion with an action-packed second season and 4.87% of binge sessions. Netflix continues its stride by commanding four out of the top five positions on our “Binge Report.” Viewers can’t seem to get enough of the former-Lifetime thriller, You (No. 3), as well as the fifth season of Grace & Frankie (No. 5) - which much like its stars, only gets better with age. Meanwhile, DC Universe’s, Titans (No. 9), holds its own outside of the streaming juggernauts, and network hits such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine (No. 7) and Riverdale (No. 10) maintain placement with their latest seasons.

Will the season finale of Vikings bring the show back into the top 10? Will new Netflix series, Russian Doll, make the cut? Next Tuesday we will tell all!

DID YOU KNOW? Based on votes in TV Time, Jon Bernthal as “Frank Castle/The Punisher” is currently our No. 1 trending character! However, looking at all-time fan votes, it’s companion series, Jessica Jones, who comes out on top. Krysten Ritter has nearly 813K votes over Bernthal’s 660K.

*The weekly Binge Report ranks shows with the most binge sessions. A binge session is when four or more episodes of a show are watched and tracked in our TV Time app within a given day.
