While the order may have jumbled a bit at the top, Netflix is still proving that they are having a great summer. Leading our “Binge Report” for a second week in a row, having stolen the top four positions, the streaming provider crowned a new winner this week, as the final season of Orange Is the New Black jumped ahead in the rankings. Money Heist, which fell to second position, still had an impressive earning with 4.83% of binge sessions, followed by Stranger Things (No. 3) and Lucifer (No. 4). With the exception of the arrival of Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys making its report debut at No. 7, the remaining shows proved stable, with solid performances from in-season hit The 100 (No. 9) and classic staples Friends (No. 5), Glee (No. 6), The Big Bang Theory (No. 8), and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (No. 10).
Can the hits keep on coming for Netflix with the arrival of GLOW and Spanish drama Cable Girls this weekend? Or will Netflix's hold loosen up as the summer ticks on? We will tell all next Tuesday.
DID YOU KNOW? Orange Is the New Black spent three weeks at No. 1 last summer, followed by 6 more weeks in the top 10 of our Binge Report. Can the juggernaut finish out its final run with the same impressive record? Wait and see.
Methodology: *The weekly Binge Report ranks shows with the most binge sessions. A binge session is when four or more episodes of a show are watched and tracked in our TV Time app within a given day.
Note: The network displayed is the network where the show first aired (e.g. “Friends” on NBC).
