BINGE REPORT: “The Umbrella Academy” Remains At No. 1 As Bingers Gear Up For “Game of Thrones”

Surprise! "The Umbrella Academy" keeps the No. 1 position for another week. Netflix

The Umbrella Academy is No. 1 yet again! For the fourth week in a row, the Netflix series remains on top with 3.76% of binge sessions. However, new Netflix original series, The Order (No. 5) is making quite the impression this week too. Following in the footsteps of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The Innocents, The Order is the latest YA horror-drama from the streamer to become a hit with bingers. Teen dramas continue to be a strong, binge-worthy genre as The CW’s Gossip Girl (No. 6) and Riverdale (No. 7) maintain placement in the top ten.

In addition to Binge Report staples like Friends (No. 2) and Grey’s Anatomy (No. 4), other television juggernauts are making a comeback. For the upcoming final season of Game of Thrones (No. 8), fans are making up for lost time by rewatching and playing catch-up before April’s big premiere. Meanwhile, die-hard fans of The Walking Dead (No. 10) hold on as they prepare for this month’s Season 9 finale.

It’s a good week for television with new seasons of Arrested Development, Queer Eye, The Good Fight, and Billions on the docket, as well as new series Hulu’s Shrill, Netflix’s Turn Up Charlie, and Love, Death +Robots. Can these shows break into our top ten? All will be revealed next Tuesday!

DID YOU KNOW? Long time, no see! Game of Thrones hasn’t made our top ten in quite some time. Considering no new episodes were released in 2018, GoT was last featured on our report during the week of October 16, 2017! and the last time the series held the No. 1 position was the week of September 11, 2017.

*The weekly Binge Report ranks shows with the most binge sessions. A binge session is when four or more episodes of a show are watched and tracked in our TV Time app within a given day.
