BINGE REPORT: Amidst Fall Finales, Bingers Cozy Up With Sitcoms As The Holidays Near

"Friends" keeps the No. 1 position on this week's Binge Report. NBC

‘Cause you gotta have Friends. The fan favorite takes the No. 1 position on our Binge Report for a second week in a row with 2.82% of binge sessions. Comfort TV is officially in season as yet another beloved sitcom about a different group of pals, How I Met Your Mother, creeps into the list at No. 9, while more recent favorites like Brooklyn Nine-Nine (No. 4), The Big Bang Theory (No. 7), and The Good Place (No. 8) maintain their report residencies. The CW shakes things up as teen drama, Riverdale (No. 3), keeps high placement throughout the show’s third season, and superhero series, Arrow (No. 10), enters at No. 10 after an eventful reunion episode. Meanwhile, Shondaland staples, Grey’s Anatomy (No. 2) and How to Get Away with Murder (No. 5), serve up large catalogues for bingers to devour.

Will the long-awaited second season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel make the cut next week? Or will bingers continue to rewatch Friends after the uproar that the series was leaving Netflix. (It’s not going anywhere yet!) All will be revealed next Tuesday!

DID YOU KNOW? Globally, both Friends and How I Met Your Mother make TV Time’s Top 10 most-watched shows of all time list. However, neither series place as high on the U.S. list -- coming in at No. 17 and No. 26, respectively.

*The weekly Binge Report ranks shows with the most binge sessions. A binge session is when four or more episodes of a show are watched and tracked in our TV Time app within a given day.
