Fans of Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants, about the children of some of Disney's most evil fairy tale villains, will recognize the newest cast member to join Freeform's Pretty Little Liars spinoff: Sofia Carson, a.k.a. Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen in the musical film.
Carson will play Ava in The Perfectionists, the new spinoff starring PLL's Sasha Pieterse (Alison) and Janel Parrish (Mona). Ava is a beautiful, trendsetting blogger and coder who wants to become a fashion icon.
But you won't have to wait until the series' as-yet-unnamed airdate to see Carson on Freeform. She's also landed a role on Season Two of Famous in Love, the network's show about the making of a big-budget supernatural blockbuster. She'll play Sloane, the daughter of a movie mogul who meets newly minted movie star Paige (Bella Thorne) and her friends.
The Perfectionists takes place in the perfect-seeming small town of Beacon Heights, with a top-tier college and overachieving residents. But the facade gives way when the stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town's first murder. Pieterse and Parrish will both reprise their PLL roles.
