SHOWS ON THE RISE: Network Television Dominates The Top 10 As Netflix Keeps The Crown

"Dead to Me" is the latest Netflix original to rise to the top. Netflix

After its season debut on May 3rd, Netflix dark comedy, Dead to Me, jumped straight to No. 1 with a rise ratio of 100%; knocking former leader, Chambers, down to No. 3. Netflix managed to hold the top 3 positions thanks in part to the “Part 2” global release of Anime series, Baki (No. 2). Meanwhile, anime continued to make a name for itself on our report with NHK’s Attack on Titan (No. 5) holding solid placement for a second week in a row.

However, despite Netflix premiering on the top of the leaderboard, it was network television that scored big last week. The much-anticipated Season 6 premiere of The 100 (No. 4), and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (No. 9), gave The CW a boost as FOX earned positions with Sunday night favorites, Bob’s Burgers (No. 6) and Family Guy (No. 10), while CBS’ procedural dramas, FBI (No. 7) and Bull (No. 8) ticked up in advance of their respective season finales.

Will we see fan-favorites, Shadowhunters and Veep, climb into the top 10 following their series finales? Or will Netflix rule them all with Lucifer Season 4 and The Society’s debuts? All will be revealed next Monday!

DID YOU KNOW? FOX’s old “Animation Domination” remains strong! Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy may have entered our top 10 this week, but animated classic, The Simpsons, wasn’t too far away. The series barely missed the mark -- coming in at No. 11.

*Methodology: Every week, millions of viewers around the world use TV Time to track their favorite series. “Shows on the Rise” is calculated by determining the week-over-week growth in episodes watched for a given program.
