Our first full week of August was a good one thanks in part to an abundance of fresh television! The debut of Brazilian crime drama, Sintonia, earns the No. 1 position with a rise ratio of 99.8% after its August 9th release. However, new Cartoon Network series, Infinity Train (No. 2), trails closely behind following a five-night Season 1 event -- entering with a rise ratio of 99.2% Meanwhile, returning favorites such as ABC's guilty reality-pleasure, Bachelor in Paradise (No. 3), makes a strong comeback while Netflix originals, GLOW (No. 5) and Cable Girls (No. 8), bounce back into the top 10 with brand-new episodes.
Netflix continues to dominate the summer months as the recent Season 3 release of Dear White People (No. 10) puts the dramedy back on fans’ radars as family sitcom, No Good Nick (No. 4) makes a mid-season return, and Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj (No. 7) heads back to Netflix after a two-month break.
This week marks the series finale of Legion, the Season 3 finale of The Handmaid’s Tale, and the Season 2 premiere of Mindhunter! What will break into our report? Only time will tell!
