SHOWS ON THE RISE: September Brings The TV “Elite”

"Elite" has a major comeback with the release of Season 2. Netflix

Spanish teen drama, Elite, snags the No. 1 position this week following its Season 2 release on September 6th. The much-anticipated Netflix series makes a triumphant return to our report with a rise ratio of 97.7% while the premiere of French reality show, The Marseillais vs The Rest of the World (No. 2), earns runner-up placement with a close 97.3%. Viewers tuned-in to the Season 2 premiere of DC Universe’s, Titans, which arrived at No. 4, however, it’s Sky Witness’, The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair (No. 3), that rounds out our top three. The miniseries had a resurgence thanks in part to its primetime debut on Italy’s Channel 5.

Meanwhile, recent August releases, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (No. 8) and Carnival Row (No. 9), take a fall, but still maintain top 10 placement for another week while ABC dramas, Station 19 (No. 6) and Grey’s Anatomy (No. 10), make their way back on fans' radars during their respective off-seasons.

It’s a big week for TV with new series, Unbelievable and Undone premiering and new seasons of HBO’s The Deuce and Room 104 entering the fray. With the season finales of Snowfall and Fear the Walking Dead wrapping up, what will end up on next week’s report? All will be revealed next Monday!

DID YOU KNOW? Elite was the 2nd most-tracked foreign language series in TV Time for 2018. The No. 1 position went to another hit Spanish series, Money Heist.
