Un piccolo GRANDE capolavoro basato sulla leggenda di Camelot. Miniserie tv in due puntate che viene trasmessa regolarmente ogni anno all'interno del ciclo "Fantastica Avventura" di Italia 1 la domenica pomeriggio. A mio parere il miglior prodotto realizzato fin'ora su Camelot, Re Artù e la fata Morgana. Bellissimi i costumi, le ambientazioni, la colonna sonora e bravissimi gli attori. Sono proprio felice di avere la vhs registrata.

A small BIG masterpiece based on the legend of Camelot. TV miniseries in two episodes that is regularly broadcast every year within the "Fantastica Avventura" cycle of Italia 1 on Sunday afternoons. In my opinion the best product made so far on Camelot, King Arthur and the fairy Morgana. Beautiful costumes, settings, soundtrack and very good actors. I'm really happy to have the vhs registered.

Agreed this was the best depiction of Camelot by far I’ve ever seen, and all told from a different POV for the first time from a woman, i also own the VHS & the book is excellent

La leggenda di Kamelot, il culto del paganesimo e di come poi i vari simboli e dei son stati convertiti nel cristianesimo. Una mini serie/film che non solo parla di leggende ma anche di storia. Un piccolo capolavoro. Da guardare... senza parlare poi della colonna sonora principale, data alla Mckennıt 😍

The legend of Kamelot, the cult of paganism and then as the various symbols and are converted into Christianity. A mini-series / movie that not only speaks of legends but also of history. A small masterpiece. To watch ... not to mention the main soundtrack, given to McKennit ?

Yes the soundtrack is chilling, the whole thing covered so much that hadn’t been tapped into as deeply by other movies on Camelot & seemed very historically accurate while doing the book justice, & great casting!

I remember watching this miniseries when I was little (9-10 years old) and along with the movie Merlin from 1998, it was my favorite thing for a long time.
Well acted and with beautiful scenery and costumes, this retelling of the legend of Avalon is definitely worth a watch or 10. It tells the story of Morgan le Fay and follows her point of view, giving us a different perspective regarding society, religion, sexuality and so on.
It is a wonderfully entertaining, albeit often tragic, story.

Absolutely great comment the soundtrack the history the casting and depiction is hauntingly beautiful & the story raw and chilling, the whole thing covered so much that hadn’t been tapped into as deeply by other movies on Camelot & Avalon! very historically accurate while doing the book justice! Love that this was from a woman’s POV the first ever I’ve seen, even the perspective from Guinevere was interesting to see why she hated her so. I also had seen the Merlin movie as well as Excalibur, my mother & i have rewatched them all along with the recent Arthur. Many are beloved stories but this series was the strongest that i look forward to passing on to my own daughter one day

This series could easily rank with or above any blockbuster movie that’s depicting Arthurian Legend. The difference is & what makes it better, that it’s told from a female point of view, Morgana Le Fay to be exact, and she spares us no gory detail of a woman’s lot in medieval times. With a soundtrack holding the likes of the mystical voice of powerhouses like Loreena McKennitt (Gladiator, The Mist), this series brings the book to life along with the eerie distant ringing church bells. The story leaves no stone unturned as to the why and how of each action that propels the story. It’s more than love & death. Highly recommended. The costumes & hairstyles are also more historically accurate than any movie.
