Why is everybody blaming Juliette for what happened to Scarlett? Scarlett started doing drugs WAY BEFORE the tour, Liam gave them to her. She tried to talk to Rayna about her being uncomfortable with shows and everything. She had her nervous breakdown because of her mother. All of her friends and her uncle kinda gave up on her ever since the record deal. So honestly it looks like was everybody's fault BUT Juliette. People need to spot blaming Juliette for every damn wrong thing! And now she overheard that conversion between Avery and Scarlett and I know this does not justify Juliette cheating on him, it doesn't but it's understandable that she got overwhelmed and lost all over again. It sucks :(

I don't normally care for the more melodramatic elements of this show. The times when I enjoy Nashville most are the times when the show focuses on the music--performances, songwriting, career issues, touring, all that. But this is the first time I was actually on board with the addiction storyline of anyone on the show because it's always so cliched. The whole alcoholism arc with Deacon has been done to death and Nashville's writers did nothing to differentiate what it was doing. I hated that they were doing what was essentially the exact same thing with Scarlett, and struggled to get through each scene where Scarlett would pop a pill and have a drink. Until this episode, Nashville's writers were handling addiction poorly--again.

But what I loved about this episode was that, with the exception of Juliette, the core cast of characters all came together around Scarlett and offered their support in any way they could. Rayna offered her much needed maternal support to contrast her narcissistic mother's toxic presence. Deacon offered paternal support and also provided advice from a person who knows addiction and knows what their family is like. Zoey comes right to her childhood friend's side despite their recent estrangement (a moment that made me tear up). Avery's there to support Scarlett every step of the way. Gunnar turns down a lucrative publishing contract with Edgehill Records, defending Scarlett against the Jeff Fordham's rude, tactless insults, and also ends up writing another really good song. For the first time I'm getting the sense of community from Nashville that I always hoped it'd have and that was abundant in the far superior Treme.

This was a great episode of Nashville in a season that's improved so much from the last (but still, unfortunately, veers too often toward melodrama).

Also, there was absolutely zero Teddy in this episode, and that automatically makes any episode of Nashville much, much better.

You ever notice how nothing is ever Rayna's fault? Y'know, according to Rayna.

Juliette, why are you so dumb? why does she feel the need to ruin every single good thing that comes into her life? I feel sorry for her, she needs attention so bad that she ends up doing these stupid things to get it

Nan mais OMG comment Juliette a pu faire ça même si elle est jalouse...
Je déteste la mère de Scarlett, et je trouve que Rayna agit vraiment comme une mère avec Juliette, Scarlett et tout...

Nan but OMG how Juliet was able to do that even if she is jealous ...
I hate the mother of Scarlett, and I find that Rayna truly like a mother with Juliette, Scarlett and all ...
