I can quite surely say that this is officially the most shocking episode of all the chicago series. Hank Voight is now back in his dark days. I spent so much time trying to look at him in a good way, after he was the bad guy in the s1 of Chicago Fire but now he's back at those days. The difference now is that we know what happened and why he's like this. He lost his wife and son. He's broken. And I have no idea what could happen next season.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW.

Guys, for those wondering, it's really the end of Sean... The actor won't come back for season 4. Nothing wrong with anyone don't worry. Brian Geraghty had only sign up for 2 seasons and he has other project so it's a fair proper goodbye.
Too bad I was finally liking him... 😅

Best episode ever! Chapeau!
All actors were so good and this was so emotional! I liked so much Justin's character (and he was so cute, of course)
I will miss him and I will miss Voight's happiness!
(Soph is always a great actress!)

There are no words that could possibly do any justice for tonight's episode... Chicago PD has this way of verbally saying very little, but creating HUGE emotional impacts. Earlier in the season we had the massive 'The Cases That Need to be Solved' episode but somehow this one feels even bigger.

Hank Voight's tactics have always been hard hitting and even questionable at times. If someone was to put his son's life at risk, just watch him take it to a whole new level... Face to the hot stove, bullet to the leg... And that's just a taste of what lengths Hank was willing to go in 'Start Digging'.

Sophia Bush (as Erin Lindsay) & Jason Beghe (as Hank Voight) lit up the screen tonight with absolutely stellar performances... If you didn't know this was a fictional drama, you'd believe that they really have all the history that they say they have. There was a scene when they arrive at the hospital after finding Justin in which Hank is bursting with emotion and anxiety... Hank tells Erin to go back to 21 and when she protests he screams... The look on her face was as natural and perfectly timed as humanly possible... My mind keeps racing back to that moment because it's a perfect example of that insane chemistry these two co-stars share between each other.

It's not that Chicago PD is always perfect... But when everything comes together, when it's asked that everyone rises to the occasion, this cast and crew are not only capable but they succeed in spades and then some... And this is why CPD is arguably the best procedural on television today.

What will come of Hank now? It's hard to say... We didn't exactly see what happened but a close ranged execution was implied and Hank definitely filled that hole, that he forced Justin's attacker dig, back up with dirt... If that's any indication of what's to come then Hank's freedom and future at 21 is uncertain... And what's Chicago PD without Hank Voight? Whatever happens, we'll have to wait until September to find out. Good luck calming your nerves until then!

Wow just wow, great performance Sofia bush is just awesome and an incredible actor. Jason Beghe was mesmerizing, his performance was so good in this episode (as always ;-)).
At the end of this episode I did hope hank would have pity of the guy or that erin would convince him not to kill him. When I heard the gun shot my body froze. It was such a great episode, can't wait for the next season, the sad part is that it started off so well.😭😭

I cannot believe they did this to Hank. I feel so sorry for Voight. What a performance by Jason and Sophia, though. Holy crap.
