I watched Star Wars before I watched Star Trek but after watching I still love both. How can you compare a series to a movie anyway lol.

I just like story's in 90's space cops show, star wars 4-6, star trek tng, ds9, voyager and a little of tos all the film's, stargate film's, sg1, stargate Atlantis, sg universe ever so young you did die and firefly never got into battlestar and Babylon

I like Star Trek better than Star Wars but I sill like it.

I personally love ST, but have no real interest in SW. They're very different thematically, which is definitely a reason many people like one or the other. Do I hate SW? Nah, I'm just not interested in it. I love science fiction, but that doesn't mean I'm interested in every single product of the genre. Watch what interests you, but there really is no reason to hate something just because you like something else. The world isn't black or white, it's filled with shades of grey.

I like both ST & SW, but I love Star Wars, idk why it just gets me more emotionally invested (even compared to the recent ST movies). I was raised watching TNG reruns so that is my favorite incarnation of Star Trek 🙂.

Nah. And I don't get the rivalry. Yes they're sci-fi bit they're two very different types. One isnt necessarily better, just different. I prefer star wars, given the option but a lot of star trek is very good storytelling too.

I like them both since I grew up watching both, but because there's more Trek to watch, I lean more towards it. But why make it just about Wars vs. Trek and throw in a bit of Who.... Doctor Who. Yeah, I love that too and I rank it right up there with Star Wars and Star Trek.

I am both a Star Trek and Star Wars fan. I'm a Sci-Fi and Fantasy fan in general so it doesn't stop there either. Sliders, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and just about anything. I tend to lean more Trek because it has a lot more hours of tv and movies, but to me l, they should not be rivals in any way.

Nope. I used be Star Wars all the way untill the more recent Star Trek movies. I've always watched Star Trek growing up but was never into it like Star Wars. Those newer ST movies got me interested in the universe and now I love it just as much as SW. I'm loving Discovery. 👍

I read post like yours Jamie144 and others, and can only shake my head in sadness that there is this continuing belief in this world that one must choose sides to be "correct" or "accepted" by others... Star Wars or StarTrek, Republican or Democrat, American or Russian, Carnavore or Vegatarian, Gun Owners and Non Owners... We are all "one" of this world with our own individual likes and dislikes... We all need to rise above this petty feeling or making others feel that one must pick a side or they are not allowed in the group or to be a friend. Or the need to push our beliefs onto others.

There is a more... "traditional" crowd that will follow the rules and pay for this access. Personally, if I paid for every bit of content from HBO, Stars, Hulu, etc and including Netflix, I'll be back to paying cable prices and going broke for one show here and one show there. I would pay for an ala carte of my individual shows in one package. Until that day, let's hear it for the underground.

I just had a bunch of iTunes credit built up from years ago. As I use Spotify now, it’s worthless to me. CBS allows you to use iTunes credit to pay for the service. I’ll just cancel my subscription once the show ends

G8kpr ummn....there are no commercials...in fact, I've started to watch all my CBS shows there PRECISELY for that reason.

This is what gets me, if I want to catchup on missed episodes say on ABC the app is free, on the CW the app is free, on FOX app is free, on NBC app free and so on. On CBS I have to pay for access to their shows although I already pay for CBS through my provider, I see this as double dipping into the consumers pocket

I have also subscribe to CBS all access for the show and I am very happy.

The show is also on Netflix, so there's no need for CBSAA if you have Netflix.

Its not on Netflix is the U.S. Lots of tv shows are on Netlfix in non-U.S. countries.

But for people who dont want to pirate but also dont want to pay for CBS, its very simple:. Wait until the season ends, sign up for 1 mo free trial, binge watch, cancel subscritpiton. That not stealing in any way.

If CBS thinks that this show is going to get people to subscribe to CBS ALL ACCESS I think they're going to be extremely RIGHT, because that's how good this show is!

I did and I most definitely got my money’s worth! Season one was amazing Trek! Can’t wait for season two!!

Don't get too attached to the show. It isn't going to survive. People aren't going to pay for yet another streaming service to watch it. They'll do like me and like Rob said up above. I give it one season. Two tops. CBS needs to sell the rights to Star Trek to someone who will give the fans what they actually want. That's how money is made.
