I refuse to watch season 2 of Sense 8 until an appropriate follow-up comes out. Btw...I loved Altered Carbon, I think I watched it all in one day. So much for my productivity.

The Sense8 cancellation devestated me. I hope they at least cover the 3 books in this series.

When u log into Netflix and type in Sense 8 and when u look at the description it is written that the finale is coming out 2018.

HugoSvanberg they decided to film a 2hr finale because the fandom got crazy af. Sense8 is amazing.

The thing with netflix is that they don't promote their new shows. They use a lot of money and I'm sure little go into the promotion of it. Idk why.

BadWolf Well to be honest while I stumbled completely by chance on Sense8, I just started (and finished in less than 48h because it was so good) Altered Carbon. And I did so because of all the adds I had popping up at the beginning of the youtube videos I wanted to watch. So I was weak and gave in to Netflix and I'm not regretting it I'M ON VACATION!!!!!!! 😝

Anyway, that's why I feel that Altered Carbon's future is brighter than Sense8's. Netflix is actually promoting it, ^^

Le problème de cette serie c’est que les 5 premiers épisodes sont parfaits mais ensuite ça laisse à désirer trop facile à déchiffrer, ça ressemble ensuite à un serie bas de gamme! C’est dommage parce que les 5 premiers épisodes sont juste parfait dans la réflexion, la qualité des acteurs et de l’histoire..

J’ai retrouvé par moment une ambiance à la blade runner ( le 1er film pas la 2ème daube) une ville gloque... une ambiance lourde... mais la comparaison s’arrête là. Cette série est plus qu’addictive. Le jeux des acteurs est impressionnant et l’histoire promet plein de possibilités scenaristiques. J’ai adoré. Sans aucun doute une des séries majeurs de 2018...

dwas les premiers épisodes, je me rappelle pas exactement mais sa devait être jusquau 3 un truc comme ça. Je veux bien qu'une série m'accroche pas au premier, cest normal, mais je supporte pas que je doive regarder une saison entière avant d'accrocher ^^

Ah ok je demandais car en général ceux qui n'ont pas accroché à 12monkeys se sont arrêté dans les premiers épisodes, la série devient de mieux en mieux au fil des épisodes à partir du moment où elle se détache du scénario du film elle donne son plein potentiel les saisons 2 et 3 sont magnifiques, si tu es en manque de séries science fiction tu devrais foncer dessus. Sinon j'étais ici à la base pour voir les avis sur Altered Carbon que je me tâte à regarder^^

dwas j'ai pas accroché aux acteurs et à l'ambiance, mais pour l'ambiance je pense que c'est à cause du film. Puis justement moi à la base je pensais que c'était le film en série, pas inspiré du film.. pour altered j'ai beaucoup aimé même si sur la deuxième partie ya une baisse de qualité sur le scénario, lhistoire à pris une direction que j'ai pas forcément apprécié mais elle vaut largement le coup d'oeil je lai regardé quand elle est sortie en a peine plus de 24h 🙄😅

kuts sense8 had a whole different issue. It's not easy to shoot in so many different locations. I believe it was not getting back enough revenue for the money they had put into each episode.

i think it is totally worth that much money! The cgi and photography alone were incredible , not to mention everything else that was equally stunning

Actually you were less strong than my final assessment. For my it was unfocused. Tryed too hard to seem cool, overtly gore (and I don't mind violence and blood). Badly acted, the script it was extremely melodramatic. I went through the whole season but it was an ordeal to finish it.

You’re mostly right, except, if I have nothing else to watch, I would rather do something else than watch this.

I somewhat agree with you, I think its a great show and I don't regret watching it, it got me hooked, however, it was filled with noir elements , what in itself isn't bad, if those elements weren't complete detective cliches and done-before characters, backstories, scenes and lines. The mix of such elements with sci-fi was a nice touch, and gave a new look to the entirety of the show (specially moving towards the end of the season) but all of its good marks and sweet moments weren't enough to let me forget everything else. I give it (in my books) a solid 6/10 and hope to catch a second season soon.

I agree. I don't think this series was outstanding, but neither did I go in it with high expectation. I just watched it with a just-enjoy-the-show mentality, and didn't expect any depth. If it hadn't had a great cyberpunk aesthetic and beautiful cinematography, the plot would probably not have engaged me enough to keep watching.

MatheusL yes it didn't actually meet my expectation but overall a good sifi drama with a great concept.

I agree with you, I watched the first 2 episodes and I'm not all that hyped about the story either... I expected more from this serie I guess, considering the budget they put in special effects and cinematography.
