Molto carino!

Very nice! It is not just simple hair, the problem is generalized and affects almost all women, never feel good about themselves, do not feel up to, at ease, perfect.
This continuous search for beauty and perfection that society requires to feel part of something, to be accepted, we end up not being comfortable with ourselves. But at the end, a nice one who cares about the others is everything. I advise!

This movie is so relatable. If you're a black woman in particular you will recognise yourself in many of the situations Violet is going through.
It's about self-esteem, self-love and self-confidence in a society that promotes uniformity and western standards of beauty, where Black women can have difficulty finding their voice and truth.
I didn't big chop but I transitioned and I discovered what my real hair looked like only 6 years ago when I was in my mid 30's. Isn't it crazy?!
Anyway, love the message and Sanaa is absolutely gorgeous in any type of hair.

Ps: what was not relatable at all however was the storyline of the Prince Charming ans the overbearing mother. That was just over the top and not even realistic. I never dreamed of getting married or being the image of perfection to find a man. We don't share the same worried and issues but the overall message about self love was interesting.
Ok movie. I give it a 6/10

I agree. Although I'm sure there are some who grew up with a mom like that. And I actually have heard on more than one occasion women say, "Oh, no man is going to want you with your hair looking like that!". 😑
