Just finished every episode. As a plus size woman Annie’s story was so personal to me. I cannot wait to see more. Watching Annie learn to love herself makes me want to do the same. onhulu #Plusandpositive #selflove #effyourbeautystandards

What a wonderful story so far about a young woman trying to make her way thru the world with various difficulties. She's gradually learning that she needs to exude more confidence at work and in her relationships. Being overweight has held her back her whole life, but no more. So whether u are overweight or not, this show is FUNNY and shows us the struggle that many of us imperfect people go thru in this modern society.

I didn't hate it but I also didn't love it that much. I couldn't connect to Annie. how a girl would inspire or empower me who can't get a single shit done without the help of her roommate or colleague. And I think It was really freaking degrading that the black cast members where there to only support her like they have no life of their own at all. The show and topic's been done so many times before shit life shit job shit boss shit parents she gets to be extra touchy about it bcz she's fat and think the world somehow owes her something. Her breaking into long monologue was so annoying you can literally tell by that it's adapted from a book . Confronting the troll, was unrealistically ridiculous as it was dangerous good for her she was the more psychotic one who damaged his car and still escaped with her throat intact .. yaaaay feminism . I finished it bcz it was an easy watch . I won't be returning if it gets another season 🙋

I watched the whole of Shrill this past weekend from a recommendation on Joe Pera's Instagram post, wasn't dissapointed at all. There's something about this show that uplifts you, seeing Annie's struggles and then also seeing her achievements and new found confidence is inspiring, whether you can relate to the main theme about the struggles of being an overweight person or not.

Such a relatable, empowering, important and funny show! Stories like this need to be told so I hope it gets renewed for a second season.
