Stupid nosey Walter, you just had to go snooping around even after you was told about a gun, instead of calling reinforcements.

I feel like that because of this new timeline the first 3 seasons have become useless. Bell is no longer dead, they never met and killed Jones before season 4, Peter never had a baby, so it's like pointless to watch all that stuff. It's a shame though, because this show is amazing and I'm sorry for this little bad choices the writers made.

Astrid better not be dead! Why did Walter have to go snooping even after Astrid tells him the guy had a gun? It looked like a gut shot so I'm hoping no organs were fatally damaged and that the bullet went through. Walter is right there so here's hoping he will perform a miracle and save Astrid. No way he won't do everything in his power to save his Astro/Alex/Astricks/Aphid/Aspirin/Asterisk/Asteroid/Ostrich/Ascot/Astral...projection/Claire. (Why, yes, I wrote all of Walter's nicknames for Astrid.)

So in this altered timeline, William Bell is alive and well (nice to see Leonard Nimoy come out of retirement) and is the one behind the plan to collapse two universes and to create a new universe where he's the master and creator. That bastard! Such a contrast from the Bell in the original timeline that we saw in seasons one through three where he sacrificed himself to help Walter, Peter, and Fauxlivia cross back to our universe.

Jones is dead, halle-freaking-lujah. He will be missed, though. He really was the best villain the show has had. Why did he disintegrate there in the end? What was he sacrificing himself for?

SO COOL TO SEE OLIVIA DUNHAM SUPERHERO. More of this, please! Her absorbing the heat from Jessica Holt (hi, Rebecca Mader!) or more precisely slowing down the nanites in Jessica's blood stream so that she doesn't combust was so cool to see. Olivia even made the electricity turn off for a few seconds in the process. And she made the security guards drop their gun! And she made Peter fight Jones and set his dislocated shoulder! TOO FUCKING COOL. She's my superhero. 😍

Peter and Olivia talking about having a kid and bringing them up in this world now was interesting. Olivia is hesitant because she's not sure what's going on with her body and why she has these powers, but Peter reassures her that they will figure this out together. Olivia saying "Is that a personal guarantee?" made me smile so hard. They are so cute. Also cute was their first scene together and apartment-hunting.

Loved Olivia's scenes with Jessica and I thought both actresses had great chemistry together. I was watching this with my gay goggles on and hell if Torv doesn't have chemistry with everyone she shares scenes with - and this includes her alternate versions, lol.

There were two bits of casting trivia for this episode:

1) Rebecca Mader is an avowed Fringe fan and I do believe that her appearance here was specifically written in just so she can be on the show.

2) The administrator at St. Claire's was played by John Noble's daughter.

Other random thoughts and observations:

- "Why must you always mother hen me?" - Walter asking Astrid this as she fusses with his coat. She replies that he should humor her because "Maybe I like doing it." Aww.

- "I'm human. What are you? Is this some sort of alien invasion?"

- "The discomfort will only be momentary."
"That's what you all men say." 😅

- "Don't confuse a winning move with a winning game."

- "So peace out."

- "I was the bishop." - Jones' dying last words.
