Hey TV Time Fans!
We’re extremely excited to officially announce a big project we’ve been working on. That’s right! Movies are here! This was the most requested feature from the TV Time Community, so this is a huge deal for us.
When you update to TV Time Version 8, you’ll see the new Movies tab in the bottom navigation bar. Just tap that to start adding, tracking, and rating your favorite Movies. The first time you log into this version you’ll also see a modal in the app that will prompt you to add movies in bulk, similar to how you added TV Shows when you first signed up.
What is Coming Next
The movies feature is still in beta, so there are some features you may notice are missing, such as recommendations. We also don’t have many trailers yet, and while there will be some stats in this first version, it won’t be as robust as the existing stats for TV Shows. Don’t worry, we know! Those features will be coming soon, but we wanted to give you the ability to track your movies as soon as possible so we can start getting feedback from you about what works, what you’d like to see improved, and anything you’d like us to add.
Don’t See the Movie You’re Looking for?
Because there are *so many movies* out there, we weren’t able to get them all in the app for the first iteration. If you are looking for a movie and can’t find it in the app, this is your opportunity to become a TVDB contributor. The TVDB is the open-source database where we source our TV and Movie data. It’s free to join, and anyone can participate, so head on over to the TVDB website, create an account, and start requesting to have your favorite movies added!
