Some welcome and unwelcome news landed on the doorstep of Lucifans the world over. On Thursday afternoon, Netflix, the streaming network that picked up Lucifer, following a cancelation by Fox, announced that it will renew the series for a fifth, but final season. For a show that has been close to death so many times, this news will prove bittersweet for the fandom, but any Lucifer is better than no Lucifer right? Executive Producers ldy Modrovich and Joe Henderson released the statement, “We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms,” and concluding with, “Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support.
