Most Anticipated New Summer Comedies

HBO's latest comedy, "Los Espookys," makes its debut this month! HBO

What the world needs now is ... some lighthearted and fun new comedies! Thankfully, this summer is already shaping up to be chock full of great new shows that are all about the laughs. 

Some shows have already premiered while some have yet to debut, but scroll through to see the list of TVTime's top 11 most anticipated new summer comedies!

11. Bring the Funny - NBC (July 9)

Just For Laughs teams with NBC for this new comedy competition series that promises to find the next great comedic act with Kenan Thompson, Chrissy Teigen and Jeff Foxworthy as judges and comedian Amanda Seales as host. Watch the best stand-ups, sketch troupes, variety acts, magicians, podcasters, puppeteers, YouTubers and more fight for the chance to receive the career-changing $250,000 prize package and see their name in lights in the Bring the Funny showcase.

10. Year of the Rabbit - Channel 4/IFC (June 10)

Set in the dark heart of Victorian London, Detective Inspector Rabbit is a hardened booze-hound who's seen it all. Rabbit's been chasing bad guys for as long as he can remember, but these days his heart keeps stopping at inopportune moments.

9. Wild Bill - ITV (June 12)

This new comedy/drama stars Rob Lowe as Wild Bill, a high-flying US cop who shakes up the Lincolnshire Police Force.

8. Alternatino with Arturo Castro - Comedy Central (June 18)

This sketch show is based on Broad City's Arturo Castro's experiences as a Latino millennial in the United States.

7. Amphibia - Disney Channel (June 17) 

Fearless teen Anne Boonchuy is magically transported to a rural marshland full of frog people and meets the excitable young frog Sprig Plantar and his family.

6. Family Business - Netflix (June 28)

After learning France is about to legalize pot, a down-on-his-luck entrepreneur and his family race to turn their butcher shop into a marijuana café.

5. Mr. Iglesias - Netflix (June 21)

Stand-up comic Gabriel Iglesias stars in this series as a good-natured high school history teacher who tries to help gifted misfits.

4. Mouche - Canal+ (June 3)

This new series is essentially the French version of Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Fleabag.

3. Los Espookys - HBO (June 14)

A group of friends turns its love for horror into a peculiar business in a dreamy Latin American country where the strange and eerie are just part of daily life.

2. Four Weddings and A Funeral - Hulu (July 31)

Four American friends reunite for a fabulous London wedding, but after a bombshell at the altar throws their lives into turmoil, they must weather a tumultuous year of romance and heartbreak. There is no trailer for this Hulu series yet, but fans are already eagerly anticipating this new comedy.

1. BH90210 - FOX (August 7)

But the No. 1 most anticipated new comedy of the summer is the meta Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot, in which each actor will play a “heightened” version of his or her original character 19 years after the show last aired.
