SHOWS ON THE RISE: “Sacred Games” Beats “Mindhunter” In A Season 2 Battle

Season 2 of "Sacred Games" enters at No. 1! Netflix

Netflix continues to crush the summer season as two new releases rise to the top this week. The second season of Indian thriller, Sacred Games, snags the No. 1 position with a rise ratio of 98.5% while the long-awaited return of Mindhunter trails closely behind at No. 2. Additionally, Netflix originals, The Family (No. 6) and The Naked Director (No. 7), make their report debuts, and Portuguese drama, Sintonia (No. 5), maintains top 10 placement for a second week in a row.

Meanwhile, cable programming advances this August as AMC’s The Terror (No. 3) and Fear the Walking Dead (No. 8) thrive during their current, respective seasons while the recent premieres for Succession (No. 4) and EPIX crime drama, Pennyworth (No. 9), earn a seat at the table.

With the upcoming Netflix release of 13 Reasons Why Season 3, the return of Peaky Blinders on BBC One, and the Showtime series premiere of On Becoming a God in Central Florida -- what will make next week’s report? All will be revealed next Monday!

DID YOU KNOW? Earlier this year, Sacred Games made TV Time’s list of “Most-Watched Foreign Language Netflix Originals.” The Indian drama came in at No. 19.
