If you've finished the first seasons of both YOU and The Haunting of Hill House you are in for a special treat ... both runaway hits are about to converge with the casting of Joe Goldberg's love interest in Season 2 of YOU. On Wednesday morning Netflix announced that they have found Joe's latest obsession following the unfortunate events of the Season 1 finale. Victoria Pedretti who plays Nell in The Haunting of Hill House has emerged as the new contender for Joe's heart.
As described, in multiple press releases, Pedretti will play Love Quinn, an aspiring chef who’s working as a produce manager in a high-end grocery store. She's adverse to the world of social media (a departure from Beck in the first season), and is focused instead on leading an interesting life. She is also tending to a deep grief — and when she meets Joe, she senses a shared knowledge of profound, life-changing loss.
Pedretti met a tragic end in The Haunting of Hill House, let's hope she fares better in this role. Production of Season 2 begins next month.
