Kogoro's former colleague, nicknamed Wani, is attacked in the Nobeyama National Observatory in Japan. Conan, Kogoro and the Nagano Trio travel to the observatory, where Yamato Kansuke is attacked as well and injures his eye. They must avert the threat before the whole of Japan is affected.
