At the center of the story is the deputy prosecutor of the Republic Luca Bartoli. A scrupulous magistrate, who puts a strong ethical imprint on his work, Luca deeply believes in justice "equal for all" and therefore inevitably ends up clashing with those who hold privileges or obscure interests.
