After the accidental death of his wife with his children Lisa and Piwi, Christian Kleist found a new beginning in Eisenach with his uncle Johannes Kleist. With the school director Marlene Holstein a new love has entered his life. Marlene has moved in with Christian and is doing her best to be a new mother and friend to the children. While Lisa struggles with all the problems of a 17-year-old, her brother Piwi is slowly growing out of his infancy and falls in love for the first time. A tender love develops between Johannes and Inge as well. With Clara, Marlene's five-year-old niece, there is additional excitement in the house, and the worries of the patients also keep Dr. Kle is pretty busy.
