Abraham Sofaer

Abraham Isaac Sofaer was seen in roles ranging from prime ministers to Popes in a career that spanned six decades. His British film debut came in 1931 in The Dreyfus Case. Settling in Hollywood in the mid 1950s, his better known works include Quo Vadis (1951), His Majesty O’Keefe (1954), Taras Bulba (1962) and Chisum (1970). On TV he may be best remembered for his recurring role of Haji, the master of all genies, on I Dream of Jeannie.
