Due to coronavirus, no regular jungle camp can take place at the beginning of 2021. Instead, RTL is organising ‘Ich bin ein Star - Die große Dschungelshow’. The aim of the whole event is to find the first camper for the next season. That's right, at the end of the 15 live shows lasting several hours, only one of the next candidates for the jungle camp, which is to take place in Australia again in 2022, will actually be chosen. Sonja Zietlow and Daniel Hartwich guide the contestants through the studio. Dr Bob, who is travelling to Germany from Australia, will also be on board. At the same time, studio guests and ex-campers look back on the highlights of the past 14 seasons.
