Two inseparable friends, Vitya Maleev and Kostya Shishkin, cause a lot of grief to the pioneer team: they now and then appear in their diaries. Friends are too fond of football. Only twilight makes them leave the sports field. Viti Maleev's mother takes a soccer ball from her son, but friends invent new entertainment, and the number of twos in their diaries is growing alarmingly. Kostya Shishkin, under the pretext of "illness", stops attending school altogether.
