Between December 1911 and April 1912, a small band of anarchist activists led by Jules Bonnot committed a series of robberies and murders, becoming the prime target of the police. For the first time, criminals are using automobiles to commit their crimes while police exploit fingerprints. The epic of the Bonnot gang only lasted a few months and ended with a bloody siege. However, it has a lasting mark on French popular memory. It takes place at a time of political protest and social, artistic, technical and urban upheaval.
