The manager of the mountain hotel Alois Randa is worried over his head: he expects a large tour of tourists, he can't cook and his only employee, the maid Miluška, packs her bags. He won't stay here with Bohouš for a minute. Bohouš is Rand's huge Bernardine who refuses to respect Miluška's privacy. So the maid is gone, but the first guest comes and is hungry like a Bernardine. The proud owner of Bernardine will make a bizarre bet with him - if the guest can eat more courses than Bohouš, he will have a free weekly stay. If he doesn't succeed, Randy will be a maid for a week.
