Eunjung is faced with a series of harsh realities—her company informs her of a non-renewal of contract, she has no savings to fall back on, and her mother, who raised her alone in the countryside, is suddenly hospitalized after a serious accident. Just when it seems life couldn’t be more unforgiving, she narrowly avoids falling victim to a phishing scam—thanks to the unexpected help of Dohee, a rebellious high school student. As a gesture of gratitude, Eunjung buys Dohee a meal, marking the beginning of an unlikely connection between two very different lives. When Eunjung later sees Dohee being assaulted by a group of delinquents, she steps in and brings her home, unable to turn a blind eye.
