To mark the 25th anniversary of the radio play series, the first episode ... and the Super Parrot was performed in 2004 in the Color Line Arena in Hamburg in an extended stage version in front of an audience of over 12,000. André Minninger wrote the script, while Holger Mahlich once again took over the direction. Peter Klinkenberg returned to the stage as foley artist. As in the radio play, Thomas Fritsch was also the narrator in this production. However, the stage version differs slightly from both the original 1979 version and the 2004 studio production; for example, the character Skinny Norris was introduced, who did not appear in the original episode.
