Petersburg, 1840s. Summer, white nights. On the bank of the Neva, the Dreamer (Oleg Strizhenov) meets Nastenka (Lyudmila Marchenko). Five nights, walking around the city, young people talk about themselves, their faith, feelings and love. Nastenka promises the Dreamer who is in love with her that she will marry him, but... the other one appears and Nastenka is happy again, and the Dreamer is lonely again...
