Vojta and Růžena Koskub are an ideal couple: they both make love and they both do well at work. But half a year after the wedding, they appear in a divorce court. Reason? Růžena refuses to do all the housework herself. She and Vojta have other job responsibilities in addition to their main job. Růžena paints illustrations for an atlas of trees, Vojta writes a book about extracurricular education of children. None of them has time for a household. Associate Judge Mack does not have a controversial teacher pair out of his head, so the man decides to give the Koskubs a well-meaning lesson in marital cohabitation. Both couples find themselves together in a summer cottage, where men and women can show what they think is right.
