It's the end of the century, just around the corner of 2000. "End of the century," a nickname also given to Young-mi, a woman who was sent to prison with a man who embezzled public money. After being released from prison, the man's wife, Yu-jin, offers to help Young-mi get back on her feet, but it's difficult for Young-mi to receive money. Young-mi then lives with Yu-jin to assist her due to her disability.
