Somei Haruta works part-time at an izakaya while pursuing his dream of becoming an actor, but he only gets extra roles. One day, while performing a street solo act, he meets a person named Aniki and they visit a bar in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. There, he encounters Leo, an artist with a stutter. Leo has just returned from the United States and has no home, and before he knows it, he ends up living at Haruta's house. Although they have different goals, as they both pursue their dreams, they become irreplaceable to each other. And then the two of them exchange promises and work hard every day to fulfill their promise to each other. However, gradually the environment surrounding Haruta changes, and his feelings towards his dream start to waver... he had thought it would never change. The story depicts the eight years between two young people who met by chance and their respective life choices.
