Out of idleness and curiosity, a man living in idleness tries to amuse himself by following strangers in the street. Without hiding, he tries to find out everything about their life and tries to piece together their history. This is how he becomes attached, by chance in his footsteps, to a curious character named Jimmy, an American professor. Exasperated, Jimmy decides to talk to him
