In 1973, the Francoist Carrero Blanco was assassinated. Charles Williamsen, an American ornithologist, arrives in Biarritz to watch the birds. He did not tell his wife or the Institute for which he works that he was leaving. Charles met Miranda Fernandez, the daughter of a senior Francoist dignitary on the plane. The Spanish secret services suspect him of being a terrorist and will not stop following and spying on him.
