Sandra Puttgammer resolutely grabs the travel bag to leave her husband Gerd. She wants to start a new life with her boyfriend Jan and his daughter Marie. At the last second, Gerd leaps into her car and wrestles a horse trade from her: If he has his appointment as President of the Higher Regional Court in his pocket, she is free. Gerd takes over the steering wheel, races back into the yard and runs over Marie in the process. He flees in panic and leaves his unconscious wife and the girl at the scene of the accident ... The "dramatic" hushing up of the incident with lies and absurd twists and turns takes its course.
