We are in our fifties. An old Italian acquaintance is preparing to visit János Kiss, a Kossuth Prize-winning cylinder. Comrade Kubik, surveyed by the Ministry of Heavy Industry, is trying to enchant Little's impossible housing conditions for an evening, during the visit, to make it fit the expectations of a Western man. This then becomes the source of a whole host of satirical situations throughout the evening to recreate the usual, bleak home of the Kisses the next day.
