On April 7, 1981, while OM were in the second division, the commercial court rendered its decision and ordered the liquidation of assets and the legal settlement against the club. A real thunderclap, the staff is placed on technical unemployment and the professional players, released. OM will however be saved thanks to those nicknamed the Minots: goalkeeper Marc Lévy, Christian Caminiti, Jacques Lopez, José Anigo, player-coach Roland Gransart, Eric Terrones (who died in September 2019), Michel Castellani or François Lapinta.
