On a crowded subway, a real estate promoter convinces Patsy to put a down payment on a house in Paradise Acres, "heaven on earth." In a car loaded with cow, goat, and fowl, Patsy and her best friend Thelma take the long drive to their new house, only to find a small house on an otherwise sand-filled lot in the middle of a sandy wasteland.
