Suad Husni

Souad Muhammad Hosny El Baba began her five-decade career singing for children's radio programmes at the age of 3. She made her film debut in 1959's Hasan wa Naimah, based on Romeo and Juliet, and went on to star in a number of romantic films. She was known as the 'Cinderella of Egyptian cinema' and was one of the most influential actresses in the Middle East and the Arab world.
